Pyramid Healing
Is it broke?(sorry its kinda long)?
Two years ago, my cheerleading squad was performing our competition routine. Well when we got to the pyramid section my stunt group of it fell( i was the top stunt group). When i fell i hit the hard wood floor flat on my elbow. Of course it was broke but when i fell i also landed on my knee. I had physical therapy for my elbow but my knee still isn’t healed. Its got a huge purple bruise right on the knee bone and when i hit it, it makes a grinding sound and it hurts soooo bad! I don’t know if its broke or what?
It is the left knee,right on the bone,there is now a bone(im guessing thats what it is) that sticks out and thats where i feel it grind,when it barley gets touched or tapped by anything
The knee is a very complex joint to diagnose when you have an injury. I’ll need you to answer the following: Which knee? Where exactly on your knee does pain occur? Where on your knee do you feel it grind? When do you experience pain?
A: I’m thinking you might have a tear in your patellar tendon just above the tibia. Mmm… I don’t see how your knee hasn’t healed on its own over two years. Must be something you do, like just having an active lifestyle, that’s preventing your knee to heal completely. If that bruise and grinding sounds worries ya enough, I’d recommend seeing a knee specialist in a nearby clinic. If you decide to do that, the doctor may want you to take an MRI (to get a better look at your ligaments and tendons) so you’ll want to make sure you have insurance that will cover all that just to be safe.
